Two new commissioners and two incumbents will be sworn in Monday night to the Bladenboro Board of Commissioners during the board’s regular monthly meeting at Town Hall on Ivey Street.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. and is open to the public.

Newcomer Gene Norton, who led the ballot for one of three seats for four-year terms on the board, will join incumbents Patsi Callihan and Sarah Jane Benson to be sworn in.

Cris Harrelson will be sworn in to fill out the unexpired term on a seat that was vacated by Callihan. Callihan chose to run for a full term after being appointed a year earlier to fill the unexpired term of Timothy Benton, who resigned.

Everett Butler was defeated in November’s municipal election and Terry Nance chose not to run for re-election.
