 Bladenboro Fire Dept
Bladenboro firefighters will soon house their equipment and do their training in a newly constructed 9,990 square foot fire station.  The cost of the new fire department is in the $1.1 million range.

Fire Chief Jackie Coleman indicated earlier that construction is expected to be completed later this summer.  The new fire station is located across West Seaboard Street from the site that has been the home of the local fire department since 1972.

Former Congressman Mike McIntyre assisted in securing financing for the new station, a combination loan/grant through USDA and the local fire department added funds they had saved over the years.
