Clarkton’s business district is growing, as K & S Donuts has opened its doors. The store is located at 112 N. Elm Street, Clarkton, NC and is owned and operated by Tom Keo, and his brother, Sopheak Keo.
The store carries a variety of donuts, from glazed to frosted, to everyone’s favorite—donut holes. K & S also stocks long johns, apple fritters and more. K & S Donuts also serves Sausage Kolache, and a variety of freshly made breakfast sandwiches.
“My brother was making them in Texas,” said Tom Keo. The Keo family was residing for a time in New York before deciding to move to Laurinburg. It was in Laurinburg where they decided to open a donut shop.
“Mr. Tim Tart found us and offered us a space (in Clarkton),” said Keo.
The restaurant offers breakfast and lunch. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 7 AM until 1 PM, and on Sunday they are open from 8 AM until 12 noon.
