Thirty players showed up Thursday to participate in the Thundering Herd 9-hole tournament at Vineyard Golf at White Lake.
The winning team, in a scorecard playoff with 6 under par, was Chase Knight, David Smith, Steven Clark, Cooper Padrick and Anne Beyer.
Second place was won by the team of Jonathan Gooden, Nolan Sessem, Conner Smith, Dustin Matlock and Ben Davis.
The Thundering Herd is played every Thursday at 6 p.m. To play in the weekly tournament, call the pro shop at 910-247-6132 by 5 p.m.
Mark Harritan of Vineyard Golf at White Lake announced that the course has received 70 new golf carts.
With the summer coming, and golfers increase their play schedule, the new carts will be able to handle the large crowds that frequent Vineyard Golf.
