The New Hope Missionary Baptist Church had its annual “Back to school hangout” on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. The siblings of the late Samuel L. and Lillian Smith gave out at least 50 book bags full of supplies and Mr. Xavier Wooten received the Samuel L & Lillian Smith Scholars Scholarship. The Smith’s moto is “If you come, we’ll give”, next year they are looking forward to seeing you.
