New Light Church in Bladenboro launched “NLC Connections” earlier this year. These classes are open to anyone who would like to participate, as church affiliation does not matter. Connections Pastor Cory Nance stated, “If you attend church somewhere else, consider joining us and then take this back to your local church and friends.”
The upcoming class, “Managing Money God’s Way,” will begin July 13th at 6:30 p.m. Although this class will not teach you how to “get rich quick,” it can help you go through life without constantly struggling with and thinking about money.
There is also a class taught by Pastor Jerry Carroll for Seniors. This ministry is known as NLC Beacons, where any seniors from the community can get together and fellowship.
There will be more classes later in the summer. Classes on the Holy Spirit, Grief Counseling, and a Women’s Bible Study are in the works. “Godly Parenting” is a class that has been taught in the past and will more than likely return at a later date. NLC Connections also hopes to have opportunities to join forces with Boost the Boro and serve in the community. Stay updated by following New Light Church’s Facebook page.
