The Ninth annual Cape Fear Farm Heritage Association presents Southern Farm Days on Friday, March 17, and Saturday, March 18, at the Lake Waccamaw Boys & Girls Home Horse Complex.  Admission is $7.50 for adults  and children 12 and under admitted free. Gates open each day from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Proceeds go to benefit the Lake Waccamaw Boys & Girls Home.

A special treat at this year’s event will be a Gospel concert performance by Derwin Hinson on Friday afternoon.

There will be exhibits that depict farm life from days gone by including antique and horse drawn farm equipment, antique tools, farm toy display, antique coarsened tractors will be on display and a live honeybee exhibit. Also there will be hit and miss engines and an antique sawmill.

Demonstrations of horse and mule plowing are planned as well as a Civil War Encampment, tractor games and more.

On Saturday there will be a antique tractor pull, a lawn pull, and an antique action.

There is plenty for everyone to see and do. The Lake Waccamaw Boys & Girls Home Horse Complex is located at 8315 Sam Potts Highway, Lake Waccamaw. Free Trolley service is provided from the main parking area to the gate and around the show. Camping facilities are available.
