Elizabethtown_Coach_Pitch_All_StarsTABOR CITY – Elizabethtown exploded for 6 runs in the sixth inning to clinch an 11-6 victory over Hope Mills National in the Dixie Youth Baseball North Carolina AA (Coach-Pitch) State Tournament.

Elizabethtown advances to another elimination game Monday against the Columbus County/South Park loser. If Elizabethtown wins, they will play again at 8 p.m. Monday.

Zach Sholar and Tyler Lewis started the Elizabethtown first inning with infield hits, and Dawson Wright forced Sholar at third base. Mason Smith slapped a single to centerfield that scored Tyler Lewis.

Ryan Dove belted a single to centerfield that scored Wright, and Jake Gooden swatted a single to centerfield that scored Smith for a 3-0 lead.

Isaiah Robinson beat out an infield hit to start the Elizabethtown third inning. Sholar laced a single to left-centerfield, and Wright’s fielder’s choice scored Robinson.

Colton Daly yanked a single to rightfield in the Elizabethtown fifth. Ahmarie White cracked a single to rightfield, and Easton Bostic’s fielder’s choice scored Daly.

Sholar led off the Elizabethtown sixth with a single to rightfield, and Tyler Lewis hammered a double to left-centerfield. Wright yanked a single into leftfield that scored Sholar.

Davion Lewis smashed a double to centerfield that brought home Tyler Lewis. Smith slammed a double to left-centerfield that scored Wright.

Gooden smashed a double to left that plated Davion Lewis, and Daly delivered a double to leftfield that scored Smith. White’s fielder’s choice plated Gooden with the final run.

Sholar batted 3-3 and scored a run. Tyler Lewis finished 2-3 at the plate with 2 runs scored. Gooden was 2-3 with a double, 2 rbi’s and one run scored.

Smith batted 2-3 with a double, 2 rbi’s and 2 runs scored. Daly finished 2-3 at the plate with a double, an rbi and a run scored. Davion Lewis doubled in a run and scored one.

White, Robinson, Dove and Wright added one hit each. Wright drove in 2 runs, and Dove, White and Bostic had one rbi each. Wright scored 2 runs, and Robinson scored one.
