Elizabethtown_Coach_Pitch_All_StarsTABOR CITY – Elizabethtown scored 6 runs in the first inning en route to a 7-2 victory over Dunn in the Dixie Youth Baseball North Carolina AA (Coach-Pitch) State Tournament.

Zach Sholar and Tyler Lewis reached base on infield hits to start the Elizabethtown first inning. Davion Lewis knocked in Sholar and Tyler Lewis with a single to centerfield.

Mason Smith ripped a single to left-centerfield. Ryan Dove smacked a single to left-centerfield that scored Davion Lewis. Jake Gooden laced a single to leftfield that scored Smith.

Colton Daly beat out an infield hit that plated Dove, and C. J. McCracken’s fielder’s choice brought home Gooden with the sixth run.

Daly laced a single to left-centerfield to start the Elizabethtown fourth. After a pair of force-outs, Ahmarie White hammered a triple to rightfield that scored Easton Bostic who had reached base on a fielder’s choice.

Daly batted 2-2 with a run batted in for Elizabethtown. Davion Lewis finished 2-3 at the plate with 2 rbi’s and a run scored. Smith batted 2-3 and scored a run. Dawson Wright was also 2-3.

White slugged the run-scoring triple. Sholar, Tyler Lewis, Dove, Gooden and Robinson added one hit each to the winners’ 14-hit attack. Dove, Gooden and McCracken drove in a run each.

Sholar, Tyler Lewis, Dove, Gooden and Bostic scored runs.

Elizabethtown advanced to another elimination game Sunday against Hope Mills National.
