ASH – Lumberton defeated East Columbus 10-2 Saturday in the opening round of the Dixie Belles Softball North Carolina State Tournament.
Three West Bladen girls – Carley Dawson, Conner Brisson and Abby Dawson- are playing key roles on the Lumberton All-Star team that is trying to defend their State Dixie Belles Championship.
Lumberton advances to a second round game Sunday at 1 p.m. against the winner of Saturday’s Kings Mountain/Hope Mills game.
