RICHFIELD – Hope Mills American rode a 7-run fifth-inning rally to a 7-3 victory over Elizabethtown Saturday in the second round of the North Carolina Dixie Youth Baseball Coach-Pitch State Tournament.

After Hope Mills took a 7-1 lead in the fifth, Elizabethtown tallied 2 runs in the sixth. Bostic, Hatcher and McCracken slammed consecutive one-out singles. Brady Marlowe’s fielder’s choice scored Bostic, and Robinson belted another single that plated Hatcher.

McCracken batted 2-3 with a double to lead the Elizabethtown hitters. Bostic and Robinson both finished 2-3 at the plate. Hatcher, Tyler Eason and Claxton Tatum connected for one hit each.
