North Carolina Governor Roy Copper announces the first deaths in the state from the COVID-19 virus during a press briefing on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at the Emergency Operations Center in Raleigh, N.C.

Watch the live briefing from North Carolina Governor, Roy Cooper and other officials held today at 4:00 p.m.

The briefing was to address the protests and riots in North Carolina. Hundreds of people marched down Skibo Road in Fayetteville on Saturday afternoon as part of a peaceful protest over the death of George Floyd.

Protesters later gathered at the Market House in downtown Fayetteville. Rapper J. Cole and NBA player Dennis Smith Jr., who are both Fayetteville natives, attended the afternoon protest. READ MORE
