The Small Business Center (SBC) of Bladen Community College is offering many great no-cost seminars and webinars this November.

Postponed due to Hurricane Florence, the main campus hosts the useful seminar: “Quickbooks Hands-on for Small Business and Non-Profits” on Saturday, November 17, from 9 AM- 12 noon. “This hands on Quickbooks experience is built for non-profits and churches to get their hands into the program via a lab experience.”

The Bladen County Public Library is hosting a returning seminar. On Thursday, November 8, from 6 to 8 PM, “How to Start a Landscaping Business” will provide budding entrepreneurs with key components to starting a landscaping business.

“How to Get and Keep Your Volunteers” is being held at the East Arcadia Center in Riegelwood on Monday, November 19th, from 6 PM to 8 PM. More people than ever want to give back to their communities, and volunteer work is encouraged, from the halls of congress to the words and images in the media. Now could be the very best time to take a look at your volunteer program and spiff it up so that your volunteers will want to come and stay.

Online webinars are also available this month.

“Free Money to Start/Expand a Business But No Grants” will be presented on Wednesday, November 15th, from 1 to 2 PM.

“Affordable Online Presence for Churches and Non-Profits” will be presented on Monday, November 19th, from 1 to 2 PM.

All seminars are open to the public and provided at no charge due to special funding arrangements for the Small Business Center and Bladen Community College.

To register for any of the seminars or for more information, contact Todd Lyden, Small Business Center Director, at 910-879-5572 or register online at https://www.ncsbc.net/center.aspx?center=75040.
