Good morning! 3 things to know for Tuesday, November 3
1. It’s Election Day for Bladen County’s seven municipalities. Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Click here for more details. Editor Erin Smith will provide coverage. Bladen Online will post vote totals of contested races on the home page. Full election results can be found by clicking here. Technology permitting, results should start coming in about 8 p.m.
2. Powderpuff football teams from West Bladen High and East Bladen High are scheduled to take the field Tuesday at 7 p.m. at East Bladen. The girls from the two schools will play and the boys will be cheerleaders. Admission is $5 or five canned goods and $1. It’s sponsored by Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate. Of course, the boys’ football games are scheduled to play Friday in the final game of the regular season.
3. UNC Pembroke’s student theater company will give five performances of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” at the school’s Givens Performing Arts Center. Shows are scheduled Tuesday, Nov. 3 through Saturday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. There’s no cost to attend. In other words, it’s free.
