Good morning! 3 things to know for Wednesday, November 4

1. More than 23 percent of registered voters in Bladen County’s seven municipalities cast a ballot in Tuesday’s election, according to figures from the N.C. State Board of Elections. There were 1,306 ballots cast out of 5,563 eligible voters. It was about the same percentage in 2013. More than 27 percent of eligible voters cast a ballot in the 2011 municipal elections.

2. Tar Heel Volunteer Fire Department’s Fall Festival is set for Saturday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the station at 269 Tar Heel Ferry Road. There will games, cake walk, food and plenty of fun. It’s a great way to support the department.

3. Bladen Community College’s Diversity Fair is Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the student lounge. Tables will be set up representing various countries and cultures from around the globe.
