2. The Clarkton Public Library is hosting an open house Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.. Library director, Kelsey Edwards says refreshments will be provided by local Read Hat Ladies members. Everyone is invited. For information call (910) 647-3661.

3. Omaha police say a tiger bit an apparently intoxicated woman who broke into the Omaha Zoo to pet a big cat. The 33-year-old woman suffered a severe hand injury, reports The Associated Press. To add insult to injury, the woman was cited for criminal trespass. No word on whether the woman was, indeed, intoxicated, but sneaking into a zoo and petting a Malayan tiger is certainly a clue.

And now you know.
