On Monday, September 20, 2021, the National Weather Service of Wilmington announced the weekly weather briefing. This week, the NWS reported an approaching, deepening low pressure aloft will draw a good rain northward into the area Tuesday and Wednesday.

There will be a cold front off the coast early Thursday with a cooler, drier weather pattern to follow at the end of the week.

Both tropical systems, Peter and Rose, are expected to curve north in the open Atlantic this week.

The ‘countdown’ to Fall is on as the Sun crosses the equator overhead at 3:21 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Find out more at www.weather.gov/ilm.
