Good morning! 3 things to know for Thursday, October 22

1. We’re proud that Bladen Online is your main source for local news and humbled by your continued support. We’re always looking for ways to add to our product. We’ve begun a YouTube channel to help tell the story of Bladen County. Admittedly, it’s a work in progress. Check it out and subscribe at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCa2csTP2aBoqH1rI5ynshNw.

2. A food bank will be open to the public Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at White Oak Family Worship Center at 1932 Burney Road in White Oak. Pre-qualification is not necessary. Other items will be available.

3. If, attending a wedding, the preacher says to “speak now or forever hold your peace,” this is not what it means. The Associated Press reports that a 22-year-old man in Santa Barbara, California, was detained following a six-minute melee in which he crashed a wedding, bit a police dog, bit a police officer, and attacked another officer. Meanwhile, the police dog, rightfully confused, bit an officer. Hopefully, the newlyweds will live happily ever after.

And now you know.
