Olivia Barnes was awarded two scholarships by Farm Bureau recently. She plans to continue her education at UNC Pembroke and later transfer to N.C. State to pursue a career in Animal Science.
Bladen County Farm Bureau Vice-President Chris Barnhill is shown presenting Barnes with the Bladen County Farm Bureau Scholarship for 2019. Barnes also was awarded the R. Flake Shaw Scholarship given by North Carolina Farm Bureau.
Barnes is the daughter of Bryan and Lisa Barnes.
The Farm Bureau scholarship program provides an important service to deserving youth in the area and state that have a desire to further their education and pursue a career path in agriculture.
