The Elizabethtown Police Department has arrested one man for the armed robbery of the Dollar General located at 1011 West Broad Street. The robbery was reported at 9 p.m. Saturday.
Lt. D. Cheshire, with the Elizabethtown Police Department, said a man armed with a handgun walked in and demanded cash from the clerk.
“He departed from the store and was located a few blocks away by law enforcement,” said Lt. Cheshire.
Arrested was Christopher Deon Autry, 21, of Elizabethtown. He is facing charges of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Lt. Cheshire said officers were able to connect Autry to the robbery based on evidence found at the scene.
