All four suspects wanted in the shooting death of Darrell Dionte Council have been arrested.
Christopher James Baldwin (pictured, left), 25, of Lumberton was arrested Wednesday night and D’Nazya Sade Downing, 20, of Parkton was arrested on Thursday afternoon. Both are facing charges of first degree murder.
Montise Mitchell (pictured, right), 24, of Saint Pauls, and Shanika Nicole Mitchell, 17, of Lumberton, have also been arrested, according to reports.
Council was shot on Sunday, Nov. 8, near the intersection of Center Road and Twisted Hickory Road. According to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, Council and his brother were sitting in a vehicle at a stop sign when two men approached the vehicle and started shooting.
Council attempted to drive away from the scene and crashed into a ditch. His brother was not injured and left the vehicle to get help.
