Grief counselors were at East Bladen High School on Friday morning as a student lost his life in a early morning crash on NC 87. The two vehicle crash ocurred at 7:30 a.m.
Bladen County Assistant Coroner Kenneth Clark said the vehicle operated by 16-year-old Jared Allen of East Arcadia struck a dump truck in the 2200 block of NC 87 as he was on his way to school.
N.C. Highway Patrol Trooper Weissinger is investigating the incident.
