Bladen-County-Board-of-ElectionsOne Stop Voting will get under way for the June 7 primary election beginning Thursday, May 26.

One Stop voting will take place at the Bladen County Public Library located at 111 N. Cypress Street in Elizabethtown only. The hours for voting will be Thursday, May 26, and Friday, May 27 from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.; Tuesday, May 31 through Friday, June 3 from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.; and Saturday, June 4, from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

There are only two ballot styles for the June 7 primary election.  There is a nonpartisan primary ballot that features the race for NC Supreme Court Associate Justice only. The judges seeking to be elected for that race are Michael R. “Mike” Morgan, Daniel Robertson, Robert H. “Bob” Edmunds and Sabra Jean Faires.

The Republican Primary Ballot for June 7 has a contested race for the 9th Congressional District. The candidates for that seat are incumbent US Congressman Robert Pittenger. He is being challenged by Mark Harris and Todd Johnson. This ballot will also allow voters the opportunity to vote for the NC Supreme Court Associate Justice seat.

Voters who are registered as unaffiliated may request either the nonpartisan ballot or the Republican ballot. Voters who are registered Democrat will be able to vote the nonpartisan ballot only.
