Spread the love

Pornography is a photograph that depicts erotic behavior and is intended to cause sexual excitement. Lime Light, a boutique in Bladenboro, has pornography displayed in their window. Porn addiction is growing fast in our young adult population.

It is concerning that Bladenboro town officials would allow pornographic advertisements to be displayed in the town square. Photos of young women in provocative poses are on public display right across the street from an ice cream shop that children often frequent; this should not be allowed.

Ephesians 5:3 says, “But among you, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.”

According to North Carolina Statue 14-190.5, preparation of obscene photographs for the purpose of dissemination, shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor. Is there a town ordinance against this type of advertisement too?

Is the State statute I mentioned above a law being broken by this business in Bladenboro? I am not the only one with this concern, and it needs to be addressed. For a Town who taunts their Christian views so adamantly, why do you allow pornography to be displayed publicly?

Thank you, bladenonline.com, for being a public forum for our community to address issues plaguing our citizens.

Sincerely,
Patrica A.
