Thoughts While Shaving

Pray for our nation, our leaders and those most affected by the partial shutdown….especially the ‘worker bees’, many who are working and receiving no compensation. And, for others who are ‘laid off’ and no pay.

This must be a ‘new’ low for the USA.  Sure there have been shutdowns before, but few, maybe none like this one.

Quoting one source, “The shutdown has already caused the federal government to stop paying 800,000 employees, but the impact is expected to broaden in the coming weeks.  Even the federal court system is likely to halt major operations after Feb. 1”.

How about this weather?  From the mid 20s to the upper 60s in just over 48 hours.  I love calling North Carolina home, I really do.

Ever wonder how you would deal with a serious health issue?  Many of our friends are already dealing with ALS, cancer, Alzheimers, stroke and many more.  The pain extends to family members, friends and care-givers. Too often we take good health for granted.

The search for 3-year-old Casey Hathaway was set to continue this morning in Craven County.  Volunteers were sent home late Wednesday for safety concerns and to get some rest, but professionally trained searchers continued searching overnight in what has been described as rough terrain around the home.

Prayer: Don’t give God instructions — just report for duty!

Plan ahead – it wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.

Just a thought – Did Noah include termites on the ark?
