We are a small family…two sons, two grandchildren, (one married) and a very smart, supportive daughter-in-law. Like to think we are stable folks. One son has been employed same entity for over 30 years and son No. 2 working on 14th year with same employer, daughter- in-law retired after over 25 years in one location and began new career 3 or 4 years ago. We have lived in same location over 50 years. Sorry for the personal notes.
A reader brought to my attention language in legislation proposed in the NC House of Representative…deals with the sale of guns. Not getting into the issue for or against, but one part stirred my reader’s interest and mine as well. NC HB 86 proposed….Gun Violence Prevention Bill. Deep in the language of the bill under section 14-406.2 under definitions is a reference to California Roster of the State pursuant to California Penal Code that lists all weapons and further down, NC proposed annual updates must be based on California law updates. Maybe I am reading more into than is there, and I am not a member of the Legislature, again, not siding with those for or against, just curious. Maybe California does a great job of research, don’t know. I know…maybe we are being picky, picky, picky. If you have thoughts, contact your NC House representative.
Been thinking about the conservative, liberal issue…conservative or liberal in what way? Just political, or other issues as well. Some of my most conservative friends are very liberal when it comes to community efforts, helping those in need, but many times done quietly with little or no fanfare. Just wondering out loud. I know when it comes to politics it is a hot button issue and I do not go there. Think of what I heard years ago. Some of my friends are for it and some of my friends are against and I agree with my friends.
