Dads and moms are special. A visit from children and grandchildren is the gift most appreciated.
For many, their parents have passed on, for the lucky ones, they are still around.
Some churches, recognize the oldest and the youngest dad and the dad with the most children.
Bladen County commissioners have a couple of meetings Monday (tomorrow). A Special Meeting at 5 PM to attempt to continue work on the FY 2017-18 budget, followed by the regular meeting at 6:30 PM, both in the commissioner’s meeting room on the lower lever of the courthouse and both open to the public.
Remember how we communicated prior to our many social websites; Facebook, Messenger, and others. A visit or a phone call. Can’t imagine the change coming.
Attended a workshop over the past couple of days. Among the speakers was one on cyber security for individuals and businesses. It is scary today and don’t see it getting better. Just be aware, everything you put online is monitored and filed, Facebook, Google and others know all about you and me.
Also saw and heard one of the best entertainers ever. His name is Jimmy Travis. When you are looking for something to do, Google You-Tube and search for the comedian, musician. Good clean entertainment.
