Thoughts While ShavingWould love to hear the merits of the Joseph Sledge case against Bladen County. County Commissioners awarded $4 million to an individual ruled to have been wrongly convicted of the murder of 2 local residents. After insurance, Bladen County government pays $900,000 to settle the case.

While residents of Texas and Louisiana continue to clean up from Hurricane Harvey, Irma continues toward the US and is expected to be one of the top news stories in the coming week.  Death toll attributed to Hurricane Harvey is now in the 50 plus range.

Today is Labor Day, for some another day to labor, for others a day to do as you so desire.

High School football tonight at both Bladen County schools:
7 PM   North Brunswick at East Bladen
7:30 PM   Midway at West Bladen

Games were postponed Friday evening due to inclement weather. Both local teams are 1-0.
