One more week of school (public) for Bladen County students and then summer break.
Bladen County Commissioners meet at 6:30 PM today at their meeting room in the courthouse and again at 5 PM Tuesday for a Special Meeting with the Board of Education. The second meeting will be held at the Powell-Melvin Ag Center on Smith Circle in Elizabethtown. The 2017-18 budget is expected to be approved prior to July 1.
Elizabethtown City Council meets twice today, at 12 noon for a work session and at 7 PM for their regular monthly meeting. A Public Hearing related to their proposed budget for the coming fiscal year is on the evening agenda.
The meetings are open to the public.
