Wednesday evening Pack 600 Elizabethtown Cub Scouts, The Webelos Den, earned their “Duty to God” requirement.

Runion explained the scouts learned about Pack 740 of Currie NC had lost everything in Hurricane Florence. The local Webelos started making calls and sending emails.

“Well, Coleman and Academy Sports stepped up and last nite they were treated to a shopping spree taking care of by Academy Sports in Wilmington. This was a humbling experience to see the smiles on these little cub scouts and worried parents faces.” Andy Runion said.

He continued, “Thanks to Coleman and Academy these Cub Scouts can get back to earning their way into their next level of Scouting. God truly is Good.”
