Residents at White Lake woke up to the sounds of an airplane and the site of Paratroopers landing in the water on Thursday morning.

The Paratroopers from Fort Bragg were practicing their parachuting skills this week at White Lake. The group was practicing jumping from a plane into the crystal clear waters on Thursday morning. The practice helps them to be prepared to respond to any situation any where in the world.

The paratroopers could be seen gathered at the former White Lake airport location across from the Scotchman Store as they prepared for their training session.
