CHICAGO, IL – East Bladen’s Patty Evers has been named as one of the head coaches for the McDonald’s All-America Game that will be played in Wintrust Arena in Chicago on March 29th and broadcast at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2.

It will be the 21st Annual Girls All-America Event. The Boys All-America Game is in its 45th year. A total of 506 girls and 1,080 boys have wore the McDonald’s All-America jersey. The list includes 45 WNBA All-Stars and 93 NBA All-Stars including Michael Jordan, Candace Parker, LeBron James, Breanna Stewart, Kobe Bryant, Paige Bueckers, James Harden and Sabrina Ionescu.

Now in her 26th season as a head coach at East Bladen and earlier at Tar Heel High, Evers has led her teams to 555 wins, 13 conference championships, 4 NCHSAA State Runners-up finishes and 9 regional appearances. Her current Lady Eagle team currently sports a 16-1 record.

In November Evers was honored as a recipient of the John Wooden Legacy Award  for 2021.
