Four Sea Cadets from The Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy recently completed United States Navy Sea Cadet Corps Recruit Training.  The cadets are members of the Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy’s U.S. Navy Sea Cadet unit the Patriot Academy Division.

The Cadets underwent 10 days of military training at Joint Base Maguire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey.  During the ten days they received an introduction to military routine and discipline.  This training is the cadets’ first step towards advancing in the Sea Cadet Program.

Cadets spent the ten days learning basic Navy subjects, customs, elementary seamanship, basic damage control, quarters maintenance, knots, naval submarine history, signal techniques, naval aircraft identification, naval vessel orientation, the sailor’s creed, swimming, physical fitness, drill and ceremonies. Cadets also visited the crash site of the Hindenburg and museums.

The four cadets that participated are BeYoncé Bellamy and Dakota Trice of Clarkton, Tai’drian Beatty of Kelly, and Jessica Lamb of Elizabethtown.
