The Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy will hold its 2nd Commencement Exercise on 27 May 2017. The ceremony will take place in the Bladen Community College Auditorium at 1000 a.m. The commencement speaker will be Kevin Wendling Headmaster of the Robert Land Academy. Robert Land Academy is Canada’s only high school military academy. Major Wendling is the second headmaster in the Academy’s thirty nine year history.
Wendling was appointed as Headmaster of Robert Land Academy, Wellandport, Ontario, Canada in August of 2016. Prior to this appointment he held the post of Deputy Headmaster from January 2016 till August of 2016.
Mr. Wendling holds a Master of Religious Education from the University of Toronto (2008), Bachelor of Education from the University of Western Ontario (1993) and a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo (1993).
Mr. Wendling has been and Educator for over 20 years with over 14 years of experience as an Administrator. He has served as both Elementary and High School Principal in two publicly funded school boards in Ontario (Niagara Catholic District School Board, Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board) as well overseas at Gyeonggi Suwon International School in South Korea.
Mr. Wendling and his wife Rosanne and daughters (Justine, Kyara, Matteya, Ariel and Mia) reside in Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada where they enjoy their time with family and in particular being involved with their children’s sports team either as a coach or spectator.
