The Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy competed this past weekend at the North Brunswick High School JROTC Tri-Meet. The Academy’s Raider Team and their Drill Team the  John L. Foye Rifle’s competed against teams from all over North Carolina and Georgia.   

The Raiders competed against 20 other teams from North Carolina. Raider team Advisor SFC Kellam praised his team for making steady improvement and getting better each week.   

The John L.  Foye Rifles competed in drill against 16 other teams from North Carolina and Georgia.  The team won third place in Exhibition Squad Armed commanded by C/CSM Stanari Ballard, third place in Exhibition Duet which consisted of C/SSG Elijah Hayes and C/PFC Nigel Willis, second place armed inspection commanded by C/1LT Iyanna McAllister, 2nd place exhibition platoon unarmed, 1st place exhibition platoon armed commanded by C/CSM Stanari Ballard, 1st place armed squad regulation commanded by C/SGT Maria Baza.  The team earned a second place overall trophy for the meet finishing just behind past national champion Oak Ridge Military Academy. This was the drill teams first overall trophy.
