The Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy will conduct its third Stand Down Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, at Bladen Community College. The academy will award cadets academic, physical fitness, character and leadership awards.
Cadet C/CSM Stanari Ballard will assume Command of the 4th Corps of Cadets. Cadet Ballard is from Elizabethtown. She is the daughter of Ms. Tara Brown. She is the granddaughter of Jerry and Karen Brown of Elizabethtown.
Cadet Lt. Col. Iyanna McAllister of Elizabethtown will relinquish command of the cadet battalion. Cadet McAllister will assume the position of Special Assistant to the Commandant. Cadet McAllister is the daughter of Mrs. Stacey Brothers and Mr Richard McAllister. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Linda Chancy.
At the conclusion of the ceremony the third Corps of Cadets will case its guidon and battalion colors until August 2016 when the 4th Corps of Cadets will uncase them to start the academic year.
