The Bladen County Pet Palooza is hoped to be the first of an annual event. The event has been organized by the Bladen County Animal Control Advisory Board.

The board announced this week the event has received a great response. The proceeds of the event will be used for a dog exercise area at the Bladen County Animal Shelter and the cause has received more top sponsors. The Barking Lot, A Shelter Friend, the Kim Family and Dr. Samuel Ray Cross have all given at least $500 to be top sponsors.

A Ribbon Cutting for the new dog park will officially kick the event off, there will be vendors, a silent auction, a Corn Hole Tournament for the people and contests for the pets. The Loose Floor Boards will entertain the crowd and the event will close with a silent auction.

There are vendors scheduled to be there offering paintings by a parrot, some vendors are promising to give away freebies, Italian Ice, cleaning products and more.

There will be a Corn Hole Tournament for the people and contest and games for the pets. Luminaries to honor or remember pet lovers will be available.

The silent auction will have gift certificates, pet portraits and more! Join the fundraising efforts on Friday, June 16th 5:30 until 9 p.m. in Elizabethtown at the new dog park inside the new Lloyd Park and the National Guard Armory in Elizabethtown.
