A small plane has crashed near Bladenboro around noon on Saturday, November 18th, 2017. Bladenboro Fire Department was on the scene, along with the North Carolina Highway Patrol and other witnesses.

Bladen County Emergency Management Director Bradley Kinlaw said the plane went down about 300 yards beyond the end of the runway at the Bladenboro Airport.

Kinlaw said no injuries were reported. Robert Hester was said to be the pilot of the plane and his son was a passenger according to eyewitnesses. According to the State Highway Patrol the FFA will be in route to investigate the scene.
