This weekend someone could stand to win the largest jackpot ever in Powerball history.
Officials with the Powerball lottery have announced the jackpot now stands at $800 million for Saturday’s drawing. According to lottery officials, the one time cash payout would be $496 million.
The ticket sales for this jackpot began on Nov. 7 and has conintued through Wednesday. Players across North Carolina have won more than $7 million in prizes during that period according to a press release.
The next drawing is Saturday at 10:59 p.m. tickets for this drawing must be purchased by 10:59 p.m.
