Cerno Veritas Tracey Trivette New buildingBladen County is now home for the corporate headquarters of Cerno Veritas, Inc. (CVI), a private investigations firm which provides a variety of professional investigative services throughout the state.

The company was founded in February 2014 by Tracey Scott Trivette of White Lake and has office locations near Selma and Morehead City.

Its new corporate headquarters however, officially opened for business on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, and is located at 143 NC Hwy. 53 West, Elizabethtown.

According to Trivette, Cerno Veritas is Latin, meaning “to distinguish or to determine, the truth”.

“Our investigators and team of associates are committed to integrity and discretion, and strive to create an environment that best serves the needs of our clients.  We are committed to providing accurate, cost-effective and timely investigations while maintaining client confidentiality at all times,” said Trivette.

Trivette states that the company is capable and licensed to provide all services associated with the profession, to include extensive background investigations, computer forensics, insurance and corporate fraud investigations, attorney/client case support services, as well as any other business or domestic type investigation (employee theft, child custody, infidelity etc.). “CVI utilizes the most advanced technology & our personnel use state of the art tracking and surveillance equipment”

Price’s career spans 25 years with the United States Secret Service, which included time on the Presidential Protective Detail for Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, and criminal investigations in the areas of credit card and check fraud; telecommunications fraud; computer forensics; and cybercrime. While assigned to the New York City Field Office, he was instrumental in the start-up of the New York Electronic Crimes Task Force, a multi-agency effort that laid the groundwork for the electronic investigations paradigm employed by the Secret Service in today’s international cybercrime arena.

After retirement from Secret Service, Price joined the Federal Air Marshal Service to build the agency in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He is a contract investigator with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, conducting national security and public trust background investigations to determine suitability of candidates for holding all levels of security clearances for the U.S. Government.

Price is a graduate of George Mason University, and continues to keep current in the field of computer forensics, security vulnerability assessment and risk analysis. Price has worked as a consultant for Cerno Veritas, Inc. since May 2015 and assumed the duties of Director on Friday, Jan. 1,2016.
