The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Unit and North Carolina Probation and Parole conducted a probation search on Monday, April 1,  at the residence of Christian McCullum, located at 8336 Mercer Mill Brown Marsh Road, Clarkton.  Law enforcement officers were directed to the aforementioned residence after community complaints were received that residents of this location were actively selling illegal narcotics.

After officers arrived at the residence, approximately ½ ounce of cocaine, approximately ½ ounce of marijuana, Oxycodone, multiple items of drug paraphernalia, $1,140.00 in US Currency, and multiple firearms were located and seized.  One of the seized firearms, a Rossi .243 rifle, was reportedly stolen from Alabama during a home invasion.

During the search, officers encountered two additional individuals, Hakeem Leach-Swindell and Jerry Graham, who had outstanding orders for their arrest.  Leach-Swindell was also found in possession of marijuana, digital scales, and cigar wraps.

 

At the conclusion of this investigation, the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office arrested McCullum, Leach-Swindell, and Graham. They were served with new and outstanding warrants and processed at the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.

Christian T. McCullum, 25, of Clarkton, was arrested and charged with 1 count of Possession With Intent to Sell/Deliver Cocaine, 1 count of Possession With Intent to Sell/Deliver Marijuana, 1 count of Possession With Intent to Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substances (Oxycodone), 1 count of Possession of  Marijuana, 1 count of Possession of Cocaine, 1 count of Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substances (Oxycodone), 1 count of Maintaining a Dwelling for the Purpose of Keeping/Selling Controlled Substances, 1 count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 2 counts of Probation Violation, 1 count of Possession of a Stolen Firearm. His bond was set at $56,500.

Hakeem I. Leach-Swindell, 28, of Elizabethtown, was arrested and charged with 1 count of Possession of Marijuana, 1 count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 1 count of Failure to Appear for Driving While License Revoked, 1 count of Failure to Appear for Speeding. His bond was set at $2,000.

Jerry D. Graham, 48, Clarkton, was arrested and charged with 1 count of Failure to Appear for Driving While License Revoked, 1 count of Expired Registration. His bond was set at $2,500.
