The Bladen County Board of Commissioners have scheduled a public hearing Monday on the proposed fiscal year 2021-22 budget. The budget must be passed by June 30.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Room, which is located on the lower level of the Bladen County Courthouse in Elizabethtown.
Other public hearings on Monday’s agenda is the proposed economic development budget for the fiscal year 2021-22 budget and on a rezoning request at the intersection of NC 41 West and NC 87.
The rezoning request being made by Joseph Riddle III is to change the property from residential agriculture to commercial for the purpose of a convenience store, according to agenda documents.
Another item on Monday’s agenda is an update on a request for tax increase for the Dublin Fire District.
