RALEIGH —The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold an informal public meeting about the proposed safety improvement project that calls for construction of an overpass on Old U.S. 74 at the intersection of U.S. 74 and Old U.S. 74. Due to traffic crashes that have occurred in the recent past, NCDOT saw the need to build an overpass to make the routes safer and more effective for drivers. The meeting will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, in the Council Chambers at the Chadbourn Town Office at 602 North Brown Street.

NCDOT representatives will be available during the open-house style setting to provide information, answer questions and collect comments regarding the proposed project. Citizens are welcome to attend at any time during the meeting hours, as there will not be a formal presentation. Public comments will also be accepted through Jan. 29.

For additional information, contact Scott Pridgen, Division Project Manager, at P.O. Box 1150, Fayetteville, NC 28302, or at gspridgen@ncdot.gov or (910) 437-2611.

NCDOT will provide auxiliary aids and services under the Americans with Disabilities Act for disabled persons who want to participate in this meeting. Anyone requiring special services should contact Anamika Laad at alaad@ncdot.gov or 919-707-6072 as early as possible so that arrangements can be made.
