Dublin Motor Speedway is set to open its season Saturday with five races, including two that will pay $1,500 to the victor.

“It looks like it’s going to be a great opening night,” said Dublin Motor Speedway’s R.J. Bailey. “We have the late model and open wheel purses updated, so that’s two large races we’re going to have to open the season. We’ve already got large commitments from cars and teams.

“The track’s looking great,” he said. “We’ve got the prep work done. We’re going to get the grader back on it one more time. Get it wet and moistened down on Friday and we’ll be ready to go.”
