GREENWOOD, SC – White Oak native Rahu Purdie played a key role in a pair of Lander wins this week as the Bearcats evened their Peach Belt Conference record at 8-8.

Wednesday night Purdie dished out 5 assists and scored 6 points in an 88-80 victory over No. 18 UNC-Pembroke. The senior guard sank 2 big free throws in the final minute to help preserve the victory.

Saturday Purdie pumped in 11 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and was credited with 3 assists in a 72-66 victory over Flagler. The West Bladen grad is averaging 11.9 points and 3.4 assists for the season.

The Bearcats will travel to Francis Marion Wednesday for a 7:30 game.
