Rain was the big winner Friday night as all of Bladen County’s baseball and softball games didn’t start or were halted early by unplayable conditions.
The Wallace-Rose Hill at East Bladen and South Robeson at West Bladen baseball games were postponed due to rain.
Four Wallace-Rose Hill softball batters made it to the plate before their softball game at East was stopped with the Lady Bulldogs ahead 2-0 courtesy of a Haven Williams home run.
At West Bladen, the Lady Knights sent ten batters to the plate in the bottom of the first inning before their softball game was halted with one out in the bottom of the first and West leading 8-3.
