Recap of May Town of Bladenboro Meeting

The Town of Bladenboro held a regular council board meeting on Monday, May 18, 2020. The open session lasted only about 30 minutes, then went in closed session for personnel.

Following is the detailed report about the meeting given by Melaine Hester, Town Clerk/Finance Officer for Town of Bladenboro.

Item 1. Board approved DG Jackson in the amount of 45,200 for McLean Park softball field grading and prep.

Item 2. Board approved getting an Asbestos and Lead Inspection for 104 S. Main Street demolition and rebidding once we have the report.

Item 3. Board adopted the Resolution approving the 2019 Local Water Supply Plan.

Item 4. Board appointed Marty Fritz with AAA Water Services to be our “Operator Responsible in Charge” of the town’s Spray Irrigation permit and operations.

Item 5. The Board was presented the proposed 2020-2021 Budget.

There was no motion due to closed session.

The Town of Bladenboro meeting has been continued until June 1, 2020 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall. The June meeting will be held as usual in the Town Hall building.

Ms. Hester said, “We are asking those that attend to please wear a mask.”
