The Bladen County Health Department is partnering with Cape Fear Valley-Bladen Healthcare to complete a Regional Community Health Assessment/Community Health Needs Assessment. This is a new partnership with East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine. The goal is to receive 380 responses.
The Community Health Assessment and the Community Needs Assessment are required to be completed every three years. For the health department, the Community Health Assessment addresses accreditation standards and is tied to state funding.
The results of the assessment assists agencies in devising action plans to address the concerns and needs identified in the survey. The document will give county health officials a better understanding of the health and status of Bladen County and its citizens.
