Registration is still open for the free USA Football Camp at West Bladen on Saturday, June 20 featuring former Bladenboro High star Richard Howell who is now the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Indianapolis Colts.

The camp is for ages 7-11 and will run from 9 a.m.until noon with an 8:30 a.m. registration for anyone not registering online.

Preregistration is available online at: https://fundamentals2015.ezwaiver.com/RichardHowell where the form can be printed and brought to the event.

Howell, a three-sport star at Bladenboro High, was the football quarterback, baseball shortstop, and the starting point guard on Bladenboro’s 1990 State Championship Basketball team. Howell went on to play quarterback at Davidson College (1990-1993) where he set five school records and was ranked fourth nationally in scoring in Division 1-AA football his senior year.

Coach Howell served four years as an Assistant Coach at Davidson and one year as a Graduate Assistant at UNC-Chapel Hill, before taking the job with the Colts in 2000. He received a Super Bowl Ring in 2006 when the Colts defeated the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI.

Howell has worked under an impressive length of Colt coaches including Tony Dungy, Chuck Pagano, Jim Mora and Jim Caldwell.
