DAV celebrates, honors veterans for service

“A date which will live in infamy,” Franklin D. Roosevelt said of this date back in 1941. Sunday, December 7th, 1941 was a dark day in American History. Japan attacked the U.S. Navy base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii causing one of the deadliest attacks in our nation’s history.

No warning was given before the attack which lead to a total of 2,335 U.S. servicemen being killed and 1,143 wounded. Sixty-eight civilians were also killed and 35 were wounded.

On this day in 2016, let “Remember Pearl Harbor!” be heard again.
